We are looking for a world class Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Marketing team, leading outbound product marketing activities specifically for our multitenant SaaS platform - Insights, that underpins all our products. Insights includes a highly scalable cloud database, alerting, dashboards, and API gateways, all built on an supercluster capable of ingesting billions of events and querying trillions of events in less than a second. It’s an amazing set of technologies that needs a product marketer to crystallize its positioning and drive its market awareness.
In this role you will own product & competitive positioning, sales enablement, customer development, market analysis, product launches, and more for our New Relic Software Analytics Platform.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a product marketing, product management, sales engineering, customer support and/or training professional at a software analytics, business intelligence, or monitoring company targeting technical and business buyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with our Software Analytics Platform’s audience: IT Operations, developers, security teams, and product owners
- Enable the sales force by developing collateral and providing training
- Develop marketing collateral: datasheets, eBooks, whitepapers, customer success stories, presentations, etc.
- Perform market and competitive research and analysis
- Plan and manage product launch activities
- Work with product management and engineering to define product roadmap
- Present at tradeshows and conferences
Requirements
- 6+ years working in product marketing, product management, sales engineering, customer support and/or training professional at cloud, Big Data, software monitoring and/or security companies
- Experience positioning technical products to both technical and business buyers
- Demonstrated ability to distill simple positioning from complex products
- Technical depth and curiosity balanced with a strong business acumen
- Familiarity with the Big Data, cloud and security infrastructure market landscapes, including Hadoop, databases, identity management, firewalls, cryptographic software and cloud infrastructure
- Experience working effectively across marketing and sales organizations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
