Help Every Indian Get a Better Job with your Code at Babajob.com (Bengaluru, India)

0
0

At Babajob, we are building a company that helps people at the bottom of the pyramid find a better job. As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission is to continuously improve Babajob with your code.

You are not just a coder. You take the lead on creating features that solve pain points for customers in hiring people and getting hired. You go out and visit customers with a product manager to understand what existing features we should be improving and what new features we should be creating. You are data driven. You love experiments because they can prove to everyone that your code is making things better (and occasionally make you eat humble pie).  You believe in leaving the code better than you found it. You help your fellow developers to become better at their job.

You will learn and use cool technologies that you can brag about to your friends. We currently use .NET, but if you think we will be more effective if we write code in some other language like Ruby, Python, Clojure, etc and you can show us how to integrate it with our existing experiences, we will be very happy because we would love to code in different languages too :P.

We will pay you well. You will be given equity. We are funded by Vinod Khosla, Gray Ghost, USAID and a few more incredible backers. When we achieve our mission and go from 3 million to hundreds of millions of users, you will be very rich.  In the end though, we want you to want this job because you want all that technical genius in your head to directly benefit millions of people across the earth, who frankly, were not lucky enough to be you.

UI Engineer, Analytics, All levels at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA)

As Dreamforce's featured Cloud of the year, the Analytics team creates powerful, yet easy to use tools for our customers to gain business insight with the data they store in Salesforce. Most conventional business analytics products are not real time; they pull their data from the OLTP operational data store to a data warehouse where DSS queries are run, which severely curtails the usefulness and relevancy of the analysis because the data is always stale.

Salesforce Analytics allows our users to perform powerful, real-time data analysis with their data, and we strongly believe in making business analytics easy to use and collaborative. We make powerful features appear simple and intuitive, using state of the art web and mobile technologies to allow even casual, non-technical users the ability to create reports and dashboards. As the industry moves toward social and collaboration, the Analytics team is tightly integrated with the rest of Salesforce in providing a seamless platform.

Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for an exceptional JavaScript front-end engineer to join our Analytics user interface team.

Every day we challenge ourselves to distill complex operations over massively large data sources into simple, compelling, interactive, and beautiful web-based user-interfaces. A successful candidate will be customer-focused, usability-obsessed, technically-proficient, tons of fun to work alongside, and committed to keeping our trusted platform stable and secure.

Some of the things we’ll want you to do:

  • Ensure customer success by prototyping, designing, and delivering high quality data visualization tools.

  • Advocate and champion the use of third-party libraries and publically available frameworks across the entire organization.

  • Master our development process, culture, and codebase. Then tell us how we can make it better.

  • Work closely with a team of product managers, user experience experts, and quality engineers to build next generation analytics applications for the web.

  • Develop test strategies and frameworks to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.
